Job/Person Summary

Crofton Hammond Infant School is a two-form entry infant school based in the Fareham area. We are a welcoming and inclusive school seeking to appoint a well organised, high quality class teacher to cover maternity leave (either for 3 or 3.5 days per week – to be confirmed). The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, a good team player and committed to helping children achieve their potential.  Candidates must have a clear philosophy of how children learn best, have evidence of excellent practice and behaviour management along with a positive attitude and an understanding of child development.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have up to date and recent knowledge and experience of EYFS/KS1.
  • Have an excellent understanding of EYFS/KS1 development and practice.
  • Share our ethos, values and vision.
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour for all children.
  • Have consistently good or better classroom practice.
  • Be able to plan and deliver a curriculum that inspires, motivates and meets all children’s learning needs.
  • Be calm, positive and an effective communicator with an ability to develop relationships with staff, pupils, parents/carers, governors and outside agencies.
  • Be a flexible, hardworking individual who sees themselves as a learner, aspiring to excellence in themselves and others.
  • Understand the importance of safeguarding.
